The Story Behind Missy Brand of HK Merchandise

I started to connect more in the beauty market after observing how Indian women are passionate about their hair. I liked the way they love to groom themselves with hair accessories and was inspired by them. Being in the cosmetic industry, I didn’t know much about hair but I always love to style my hair with accessories.

I started doing market research on it and observed that there were not many options available with unique patterns, textures, and designs in the market. And hence started my own venture.

Having 10 years of experience in the cosmetic industry, I took up this project with complete dedication and zeal. And after I got married, I  started my journey with Missy by manufacturing headbands and scrunchies and sourcing other hair accessories like clips, etc.

Bhavna Kanakia

Founder

Bhavna Kanakia is the brains behind HK Merchandise. She envisioned the gap for hand-made hair accessories in the market. Despite many challenges in achieving perfect finesse in customised accessories she believed in her creative instinct and achieved what she aimed for! Her strengths are eye for detail and quest for perfection. She has successfully launched the company across all big organised retailers in India and she aims to do the same across the globe.
